Young scientist Workshop (On June 19th afternoon)

The Young scientists Workshop aims at gathering the MSc, Phd and recently diplomed PhD (June 2021 or more recently) to follow a training session on career building, Post Doc opportunities and communication skills; the 30 € fee covers the workshop and a walking dinner including drinks at the Museum of Fine Arts of Nantes with the Scientific committee of ICEF 14
 

Technical Visits (On June 21st)

4 Technical visits and 1 touristic visit are planned on June 21st 2023 :
 

• ONIRIS and INRAE RESEARCH FACILITIES

This visit concerns the ONIRIS-GEPEA (ICEF14 Chair) Higher Education and Research Institute on Food Process-Food Science and INRAE Research Centre (Biopolymers, Interactions, Assembly) located on the food technocampus of Nantes. The group will be divided in two with 1h visit for each institute
 

• ALGOSOLIS TECHNICAL PLATFORM ON MICROALGAE

This platform located in Saint Nazaire (1h drive from Nantes) is one the highlights of GEPEA (Research unit which is affiliated to the Nat. Center for Scient. Research). ALGOSOLIS is dedicated to microalgae, covering production, biomass characterisation and biorefinery.
 

• L'AGRONAUTES : URBAN FARMING and CIRCULAR ECONOMY

This visit concerns a site dedicated to urban agriculture (groceries and mushrooms) located in the centre of Nantes. Discussion will concern circular bioeconomy, challenges to setup processing facilities etc.
 

• 3D PRINTING; FROM FOOD TO HOUSES and MORE. The MAD4AM CLUSTER OF EXCELLENCE

This visit concerns the MAD4AM cluster or excellence focusing on 3D printing applied to different domains (food, medical, house construction, mech. Eng., …). The visit will be done in Nantes downtown. The visit will include oral presentations on MAD4AM cluster and visit of some 3D printing equipments.
 

• “VOYAGE A NANTES” TOURISTIC VISIT

This touristic visit will be an opportunity to discover Nantes, an historic city which is also the home city of Jules VERNE, with some unexpected discoveries.
 

Gala dinner (On June 22nd)

The Gala dinner will takes place on June 22nd at the 'Espace TITAN', 21 Quai des Antilles, 44200 Nantes
